On Friday, the annual lifestyle fair Masters of Lxry opens its doors to the public. Given the number of car brands that are present at the event, the fair is a great opportunity for the car enthusiast to admire exclusive models up close. What can you see in the RAI?

Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, the big three from Germany are of course present, just like Porsche. The same applies to the counterparts from the United Kingdom and Japan, namely Jaguar, Land Rover and Lexus. A total of thirteen brands are present at the event.

Importer Louwman Exclusive has models from Maserati, McLaren and Morgan on the exhibition floor, while Pon Luxury Cars with Bentley and Lamborghini makes an appearance.

New SUVs make debut

The different manufacturers have taken a lot of effort to get the latest SUVs to the event. For example, Mercedes-Benz has not only made room for the new G-Class, but also for the previous month GLE unveiled.

At Range Rover is the very recently presented new Evoque, while at BMW the new X7 can be seen.

A lot of attention for EVs and plug-in hybrids

Of course there is plenty of attention for electric driving at Masters of Lxry, which attracted 52,150 visitors last year. The electric car is, after all, put on the map mainly by the success of fairly expensive models such as the Tesla Model S and Model X.

The American brand is not only present with the cars mentioned at the event, but also with the long-awaited Model 3. The first deliveries of the new Tesla in the Netherlands start in February.

Audi has taken the e-tron, the first fully electric car of the German brand. In addition, Audi has the recently launched Q8 on the stand. However, this is still simply powered by a combustion engine.

Jaguar is also committed to electric driving. With the unveiling and launch of the I-Pace earlier this year, the relatively small brand was the first manufacturer to come on the market with a real Tesla competitor. The Jaguar I-Pace was the most sold electric car in the Netherlands with 607 units in November after the Nissan Leaf.

Lexus has a scoop with the hybrid UX crossover, which will not appear in the showroom until the beginning of next year. The price of the UX was set at 44,495 euros earlier this week. However, the bright catchers are the bright yellow LC500.

Fast, faster, fastest

Lamborghini throws it over another bow. Here the Aventador SVJ puts the emphasis on even more power. The model unveiled in August is powered by a 770 hp V12 engine. With this, the top Aventador reaches a speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

Also at McLaren is a recently introduced model to admire, namely the 600LT presented in June. The superlative of the 570S has a 600 hp, but on some sprint parts is faster than the Lamborghini. Not in terms of top speed, however, since the 600LT 'only' reaches 328 kilometers per hour.

The activities at Porsche are dominated by the seventy-year jubilee of the brand. In addition, the facelifted Macan makes its debut in the Netherlands.
