Chinese telecoms giant Huawei, in full attack against Samsung and Apple, presented Tuesday in Paris its brand new high-end phone, the P30, focused on photography and performance, as well as new glasses connected.

Available in five colors, from 799 euros

In recent years, it is on the picture that the group based in Shenzhen based a good part of its communication. Its smartphones are equipped for the third year in a row with sensors co-developed with the German specialist Leica. The P30, which will not yet be compatible 5G, and will have three cameras, the most powerful amount to 40 megapixels, including one to take shots in wide angle. The upgraded P30 Pro will even be equipped with four devices, all reinforced with artificial intelligence embedded, a constant now in the industry.

The smartphone, available in five colors and with reduced borders, will be sold from 799 euros for its normal version and from 999 euros for its Pro version, which will go up to 1.249 euros, depending on capacity.

However, the phone is not as far in innovation as the Huawei Mate X, the foldable screen phone presented by the group at the end of February and sold for more than 2,000 euros. This one is the precursor of the next generations of smartphone, with the Galaxy Fold of Samsung.

A new pair of connected glasses

The Chinese giant, whose presentation coincides with the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping in Paris, also showed a brand new pair of sunglasses-like glasses, developed with the Korean lunar Gentle Monster and incorporating a mini camera , headphones built into the branches and all the technical elements hidden in the structure.

Huawei has become the world's number two in the smartphone industry in 2018, ahead of American Apple and behind South Korean Samsung, and is still growing in a global market that has been on the decline for more than a year and a half now. The Chinese group, also in delinquency with many governments on the subject of 5G equipment, has set itself the ambition to become the world's number one mobile phone within three years.
