Google is testing a new feature in a number of countries with which speed cameras and traffic accidents can be reported while navigating Google Maps. The position has not yet been officially announced.

With the new feature in Google Maps, road users can report accidents and speed cameras to Google, which can then be added to information displayed while navigating.

The Dutch Google spokesperson, Rachid Finge, could not yet say whether this position also comes to the Netherlands.

Reporting accidents on the road, speed cameras and speed control were already possible in the navigation app Waze. This app was purchased by Google in 2013.
