Finally ! Eight years after the release of the Freebox Revolution, Free has just presented, Tuesday, December 4, two new box. The Delta very upscale and the One more accessible. Change of look and especially new features including access included to Netflix and MyCanal.

Her name is Delta. The group Iliad, parent company of the operator Free, presented, Tuesday, a new box, including new services, in an attempt to win back the ultra-competitive telecommunications market and curb its loss of subscribers. A second box, more affordable price and called One, is also available. Ouest-France gives you the presentations.

The Delta plays the card of innovation

Farewell the monolithic side of the box Revolution. This is the Delta with its ovoid shape and white livery. Designed in-house by the research and development center, it is "a concentrate of outstanding technologies" .

Cut for fiber at 10 GB

Her first asset and not least, she is ultra-communicating. Able to swallow fiber at 10 gigabytes (but still need it) but also the xDSL and 4G networks. The 10 GB fiber allows, theoretically, to download a film of 4 GB (so in very good quality) in 4 seconds! Hardly time to press the download key that the film has already arrived. For comparison, it takes about twenty minutes with a conventional ADSL connection. Finally, the Wi-Fi Delta is also survitaminé and should allow to connect multiple equipment without loss of signal. Ideal for connected families.

Up to 20 terabytes of internal storage

Another rather unique innovation: the Delta integrates a server (a Nas) to store its data on internal disks. The native capacity is 1 TB (1000 gigabytes) but it can be pushed to 20 TB with the ability to install four hard drives and associate them in RAID. The box then becomes a real internal multimedia center.

Exceptional sound ... Optional

The sound part was not neglected either with an audio system developed by the company Devialet and restored by three speakers of bass. The result is a spatialized sound and technology that allows the sound to adapt to the content played. Finally, the player makes it possible to broadcast the contents of his smartphone via Bluetooth.

Side image, the Delta is obviously 4K compatible and therefore offers a beautiful image. Finally, it has a new visual interface that is more intuitive and clearer with Freebox TV and Freebox Replays. The remote, designated by the Englishman Jasper Morrison, plays for its simplicity and intuitiveness.

Netflix and TV by Canal included

And best of all, the subscription includes access to NetFlix and TV by Canal with a total of 600 channels, as well as Alexa, Amazon's voice recognition system.

Finally last surprise, the Delta is also delivered with a central alarm and a security pack including a night vision camera, a motion detector, door opening detectors and a remote control.

The new interface | FREE

€ 49.99 per month

This new product, with many innovations, is cut for the future. But not sure that all homes already have fiber at 10 GB, a collection of films in 4K. And it has especially a price that contrasts with the policy of Free: € 49.99 per month with the system in addition to € 10 per month.

One innovates at a lower price

Here again look change for freebox one. A sober design including in a single housing access to the internet the TV decoder.

The freebox One | FREE

It is compatible with optical fiber at 1 Gigabits per second and also with ADSL 2.

Like her big sister, she accepts 4K and very high resolution (HDR). It also benefits from a new interface and remote control. It also includes access to Netflix.

The freebox One | FREE

It is also more financially accessible: € 29.99 for 12 months and then € 39.99. An offer only for the first 100,000 subscribers.
