The Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) wants to order a recall of about 100,000 diesel vehicles for the car manufacturer Opel. After finding a shutdown device of the emission control, which the KBA classified as inadmissible, the official recall was "imminent," said the Federal Ministry of Transport on Monday in Berlin.

It expressed itself, after searches had become known at the Opel locations Rüsselsheim and Kaiserslautern. According to the competent public prosecutor, "diesel vehicles with manipulated exhaust gas software have been brought into circulation".
