The debacle at Borussia Dortmund was apparently too much: Hannover 96 has separated from coach André Breitenreiter. This was announced by the Bundesliga club. After 19 matchdays, the club is on the penultimate place of the table. The day before the 96 had lost at the front runner Borussia Dortmund 1: 5.

Breitenreiter took over Hanover in March 2017. He then made it to the league with six points ahead of the relegation place. So far things have been going badly for the current season: Hannover have only won twice so far. In addition to five draws the club conceded twelve defeats.
