Switzerland has qualified for the final round in the Nations League. 5: 2 (3: 2) the Swiss won against Belgium. And that, even though they were already behind after only 17 minutes with 0: 2. The outstanding man was Haris Seferovic, who scored a hat-trick.

Mönchengladbach's Thorgan Hazard scored twice for the Belgian side (2 nd minute, 17 th). Ricardo Rodríguez scored with a penalty and Haris Seferovic scored the game twice (31 ', 44'). The decisive goal for the group victory was achieved by Hazards Gladbacher team-mate Nico Elvedi (62.). Seferovic scored the final score (84 ').

Early double strike by Thorgan Hazard

After a mistake by Elvedi, Thorgan Hazard made an early lead. Only a quarter of an hour later he increased to 2: 0 for the Red Devils. Switzerland already needed four goals for the group victory at this time. Because Belgium had won 2-1 in the first leg and Switzerland had only scored an away goal, the Swiss would not have been able to score 3-2.

The first step was made by Rodríguez, but only with the help of Belgium's Nacer Chadli. This had brought down Kevin Mbabu in the penalty area. With the converted penalty the Swiss started catching up.

Crazy catching up

Only five minutes after the first goal, Belgium's Dedryck Boyata blamed himself on a flank ball. Xherdan Shaqiri had to hang on to Seferovic, who scored to equalize.

Swiss cheers

Shortly before half-time, Switzerland turned the game completely: Edimilson Fernandes fitted the ball after a counterattack in the back of the defense to Seferovic, who shot the ball directly into the left angle.

Belgium missed final round

When Shaqiri flanked the ball after an hour into the Belgian penalty area and Elvedi headed to 4: 2, the stadium in Lucerne, Switzerland was finally upside down. Shortly before the end Seferovic even scored 5: 2.
