Fortuna Dusseldorf and sparkle talk again about contract

Football Bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf and coach Friedhelm Funkel take the talks about an extension of the end of the season expiring contract now but again on.

"We met again last night to talk about everything in peace," said Fortuna's CEO Robert Schäfer and Friedhelm Funkel. "It became clear to us that two stubborn people insisted too much on their positions - that was a mistake - in the interest of Fortuna Dusseldorf we will correct this mistake together," it said in a club statement.

The newcomer and sparkle want to reach agreement according to the announcement until the second leg against FC Augsburg next week. On Friday Fortuna had announced that the talks between the club and sparkle had failed and the coach left the club after the season.
