The German darts professional Max Hopp has lost his debut in the Premier League. The 22-year-old lost to five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld in front of 10,000 spectators in Berlin, at the end it was 3: 7. Berlin is the only German location of the season.

Because Hopp only competes in one of the nine preliminaries, he is not listed in the table. "The Maximiser" was to be nominated for two-time world champion Gary Anderson from World Association PDC. Anderson had to cancel his participation due to persistent back problems.

Hopp's mission was the first appearance of a German in the history of the Premier League. In the world rankings he is ranked 29. Before the match, the Dutch world number one star Michael van Gerwen had surprisingly lost 5: 7 against the Northern Irish Daryl Gurney.
