With a victory in Valencia, Manchester United could have secured the victory in Group H, but lost his last game in Valencia. The defeat was signaled when the hosts used their strong start to lead Carlos Soler (17 minutes) and United barely had a good offensive until the break.

Olympique Lyon secured their place in Group F with a strike by Nabil Fekir in the 65th minute at Shakhtar Donetsk. Previously, Junior Moraes had brought the hosts in the snow of Kiev (22). Lyon finished second behind Manchester City, who beat Hoffenheim. Donetsk continues to play in the Europa League.
