After two recent defeats Eintracht Frankfurt has again won a Bundesliga match. In the 2-1 (1-0) win against Bayer Leverkusen, Danny da Costa (28th minute) and Filip Kostic (57th) scored the Frankfurt goals in a match that was dominated by numerous fouls, especially in the first half. For Leverkusen met Karim Bellarabi (65).

The Eintracht began offensively in front of home crowd: After just 50 seconds Ante Rebic missed the right time to play on Sébastian Haller. Instead of leading for Eintracht, there were chances for Leverkusen: Kevin Trapp had twice in dire need to clarify against Julian Brandt (15th and 18th minute), in the 19th minute was the ball after a shot by Bellarabi in the Frankfurt goal, but referee Felix Brych rightly decided on offside, as Trapp was significantly hampered by Aleksandar Dragovic.

Almost from nowhere, then the 1: 0 for Eintracht: Kostic crossed from the left half of the box in the middle, where the ex-Leverkusen da Costa was a toe in front of his opponent on the ball and pressed the ball over the line. After 32 minutes, Brych had already shown three yellow cards to Frankfurt. Jetro Willems, Evan Ndicka and Haller had gone too rustic to work, it came to numerous treatment breaks.

Also in the second round the players did not miss to start discussions on many decisions of Brych. Football was also played: In the 57th Haller played a sharp pass into the middle, where Kostic could score to 2: 0. Eight minutes later, Bellarabi's strike hit the first corner and hit the far post from the half-way point (65th minute).

The victory leaves Frankfurt two points behind the strike distance for fourth-placed Leipzig, Leverkusen remains in eleventh place in midfield. The team of Heiko Herrlich must compete on Wednesday at Schalke 04 (18.30 clock), the Eintracht drives to the derby to Mainz (19.30 clock).
