According to a CSA survey for Europe 1, CNews and "Le Journal du Dimanche", more than one in two French people believe that France will not be ready to host the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games next summer. However, we note more optimism among voters on the right and the left.

In four months, France will live to the rhythm of the Olympic Games. But is she really prepared for it? To this question, more than one in two French people answer in the negative, according to a CSA survey for Europe 1, CNews and

Le Journal du Dimanche*

. Only 47% of those questioned believe that France is ready to host the event while 52% think the opposite. Several questions - around security, transport or traffic conditions - remain around the organization of the high mass of world sport which will be held from July 26 to August 11.

In detail, women are more pessimistic than men since 55% of them believe that the country is not ready to welcome athletes and spectators from all over the world. If we look at the age of the respondents, we see that only those aged 18-24 and those over 65 are in the majority who believe that France is ready for the event.

RN supporters very pessimistic

Depending on the political proximity of the people interviewed, the results may seem paradoxical. Because if the voters of the PS - the most optimistic (66%) - and those of the Republicans (59%) display a certain optimism in the face of the question asked, the consultation with all left-wing sympathizers and all sympathizers on the right offers two diametrically opposed results. On the left, 57% think that France is ready to host the Games, while on the right, 57% think the exact opposite.

To understand this, we must observe the result of the survey among supporters of the National Rally. The latter are by far the most worried since 67% of them believe that France is not prepared to host the event. A figure which drops to 55% among voters of France Insoumise, hence this difference between right and left supporters as a whole. Among the centrists, finally, optimism remains in order with 58% of respondents who judge France ready for the Games.
