McAllister no longer wears pants before warming up again after his conversation with Salah (French)

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah convinced his Argentine teammate Alexis McAllister to stop a habit he practiced before the match early in his career at Anfield.

In an interview with Liverpool's official website, McAllister revealed how a message from Salah caused him to stop doing something he was accustomed to at the beginning of his career with Liverpool regarding his choices of clothing before conducting warm-up exercises.

The midfielder revealed that this habit was a tradition dating back to his days at Brighton.

"When I was at Brighton I used to wear long trousers instead of shorts, and then I came here," McAllister said.

He added, "I remember before a match against Sheffield United, we went out to warm up, and I was wearing a hat and pants, and Salah said to me: What are you doing? Why are you wearing this?"

“Since that day, I have never worn pants (during warm-ups) again, just because of Mo,” he concluded.

The Argentine international joined Liverpool from Brighton last summer, for 35 million pounds ($44 million), and quickly became a pivotal pillar in the midfield of coach Jurgen Klopp's team this season.

McAllister established himself as one of the best midfielders in the league last season by scoring 10 goals for Brighton and helping his former team play in one of the European competitions (the Conference League) for the first time in its history.
