Of this amount, venue maintenance costs amounted to approximately 10.7 billion yen, operating costs amounted to approximately 5 billion yen, and accommodation and transportation costs for related parties amounted to approximately 4.7 billion yen.

Fukuoka City has made progress in securing subsidies from the Japan Sports Agency and sponsorship funds from companies, but the city's burden has been approximately 10.7 billion yen, about three times more than originally estimated.



On the other hand, according to an estimate compiled by Fukuoka City, the economic ripple effect on the city from hosting the tournament is about 10 billion yen less than originally estimated, due to factors such as a sluggish increase in the number of people visiting from overseas due to the coronavirus pandemic.
