Esperance raised its score to 8 points in second place in Group C (French)

Esperance of Tunisia defeated its compatriot and host Etoile du Sahel 2-0, today, Saturday, in the fifth round of the third group of the African Football Champions League.

Esperance, which repeated its victory in the first leg with the same result, raised its score to eight points in second place, one point behind Angola's Petro Atletico, who is in first place.

On the other hand, Etoile du Sahel's balance froze at 4 points in fourth and final place, one point behind Sudanese club Al Hilal, which is in third place.

Esperance took the lead through Yann Sass in the 26th minute, before Zakaria Al-Ayeb added the second goal in the 41st minute.

Throughout the match, Esperance players shot 18 balls at Etoile's goal, which only succeeded in shooting twice throughout the 90 minutes, which shows Esperance's great superiority in the match.

Esperance succeeded in maintaining its lead in the match, until the referee blew the final whistle, with Esperance winning 2-0.

At the end of the group stage, Esperance will meet Al Hilal of Sudan, on the 2nd of next March, while Al Etoile will play with Petro Atletico on the same day.
