Linn Svahn was there for a long time and sniffed for a podium place in the mass start in Goms.
But at the very end of the 20-kilometer race, she broke the pole and instead crossed the finish line in tenth.
- I broke the stick, it just felt like bad luck, she says.
What happened?
- I broke it.
What kind of thoughts are going through your head then?
- It will be an attempt to minimize the damage. It is unfortunate to do so before the ruling.
She elaborates:
- I want to overtake it, so that's what's sad. Then you don't know how far it would have gone, but I still had my weapon left and it would have been nice to overtake it.
Stormed by
After finishing, she first stormed past the mixed zone where the cross-country skiers do interviews and sat alone in the snow for a few minutes.
