+++ RUMORS +++

League leaders Leverkusen are likely to strengthen their attack

According to a media report, Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen are close to signing Spanish attacker Borja Iglesias.

According to broadcaster Sky, Bayer has achieved a breakthrough in negotiations with Iglesias' current club Betis Sevilla.

This should be a loan transaction with a purchase option.

The factory club has already agreed on a change with the 31-year-old player.

According to Sky, Iglesias is said to be the desired player of compatriot and Bayer coach Xabi Alonso.

The center forward could replace Victor Boniface, who will be out for a few more weeks due to a muscle injury.

In the current season, however, Iglesias was rarely part of Betis Sevilla's starting lineup.

Newcastle leaves Bayern floundering

FC Bayern Munich have reportedly rebuffed Newcastle United with a new improved offer for right-back Kieran Trippier.

As initially reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and the broadcaster Sky, the English Premier League club is said to have rejected an offer of around 15 million euros for the 33-year-old English national football player.

This means that the haggling over Trippier is likely to continue.

There were initially no official statements about this.

Apparently the Munich team has long since reached a verbal agreement with the defender, who still has a contract in Newcastle until the summer of 2025.

There is speculation about Trippier as a promising alternative for FC Bayern if the addition of Nordi Mukiele (26 years old/Paris Saint-Germain) doesn't work out.

Trippier previously played at Tottenham Hotspur and also in the national team with Munich's Harry Kane and Eric Dier.

Reyna is probably leaving BVB for England

Giovanni Reyna from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund has reached a verbal agreement with Nottingham Forest over a move, according to a media report.

As Sky further reported on Tuesday, BVB and the Premier League club are negotiating the transfer modalities.

Accordingly, Nottingham would insist on a purchase option and would like to finalize the deal in the coming days.

The broadcaster ESPN had previously reported that other European clubs such as AS Monaco, Real Sociedad San Sebastián, FC Sevilla and Benfica Lisbon were interested in the US international.

Reyna hasn't played a big role at BVB so far this season.

The 21-year-old made ten appearances in the Bundesliga.

In Dortmund he still has a contract valid until the summer of 2025.

Reyna has been playing for the Revierklub since the A-youth.
