This weekend, Kristoffer Jakobsen achieved his personal best when he finished second in the men's slalom in Kitzbühel.

During Wednesday, the Swede was looking for a new top position when it was time for the World Cup competition in Schladming, Austria.

After the first run, Bodensonen was eleven in total.

In the lead was the German Linus Strasser, 1.30 seconds ahead of Jakobsen.

"Thought he would bet"

In the second race, Jakobsen impressed in front of the large audience on site.

He had a good run and took the lead at the finish line with ten riders left to send down the hill.

- It was already visible in the first turns that Kristoffer Jakobsen had decided that he would bet here.

That can go a long way, said Pernilla Wiberg after the finish.

Jakobsen applauded the audience and then made the remaining ten riders wait to see how far this would go.

Immediately after Jakobsen came the Swiss, Marc Rochat.

He took the lead and when all the remaining riders had finished their second runs, it was finally seventh place for 29-year-old Jakobsen.

The German Linus Strasser won, holding off the chasing Norwegian Timon Haugan and Clement Noel, who was closest behind.
