A couple of weeks ago, Alexandersson won European Ski Alpine (skimo) gold in France and felt strong and focused on the transition to ski orienteering and the World Championships in Ramsau, Austria, which start tomorrow.

"Two weeks ago I was on top and everything was fine but a few days later I was knocked out with covid.

This past weekend I was back on skis again, but there are big question marks ahead of the WC," writes Alexandersson on Instagram.

Considering the disease, 31-year-old Alexandersson worries about her form and emphasizes that she will be careful.

"Health always comes first," writes Alexandersson, who has ten WC gold medals in ski orienteering.
