In the classic alpine resort of Kitzbühel, Kristoffer Jakobsen came second in the slalom in the World Cup.

He led by five hundredths to the Swiss Daniel Yule after the first run, but after the second he was 14 hundredths behind the German Linus Strasser.

- Swedish downhill skiing needed this on the men's side, especially "Krille" himself, says SVT's expert Pernilla Wiberg.

Jakobsen receives 50,000 euros, equivalent to 548,000 kroner, for second place in Kitzbühel.

Victorious Strasser is rewarded with 100,000 euros, just under SEK 1.1 million.

Jakobsen already has two podium places in the World Cup, he was second in the slalom at Val d'Isere in December 2021 and third in the same branch a couple of weeks later in Madonna di Campiglio.
