Chad McCrary,
who had been in a wheelchair for 19 years after
suffering a terrible accident
, has died at the age of 49, according to media such as the 'Daily Mail'.
At just 30 years old, McCary suffered a motocross accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down, but that did not stop him from continuing to compete as a bodybuilder.
Thus he became an inspiration for many, who saw how he continued bodybuilding despite being in a wheelchair.
The specialized fitness website 'Bisandtris' is the one who first broke the news, although it has not confirmed the causes of death.
"Throughout his career, Chad won multiple NPC competitions and reached the prestigious Mr. Olympia stage," the publication recalls.
Shortly after, McCrary's brother, Lance, paid tribute to the bodybuilder, calling him a "very motivated and strong-willed man."
