The Japan Under-23 National Team, who are aiming for the Paris Olympics in men's football, will play a training match against the Ukrainian National Team of the same generation in Kitakyushu City in March.

This was announced by the Japan Football Association on the 15th.

The Japan under-23 national team will compete in the final Asian qualifiers in Qatar in April to qualify for the Paris Olympics.

The warm-up match against Ukraine, also under the age of 4, will be held in Kitakyushu City on 23 March, just before the final qualifiers.

Ukraine has already qualified for the Paris Olympics.

Coach OIWA Tsuyoshi commented, "Now that the Olympic year is finally here, I am once again humbled, and I am grateful to be able to come to Japan and play against Ukraine, which we are currently playing against. We will continue to prepare ourselves so that we can go into the final round of the Asian Qualifiers in good shape while checking what we have accumulated."

Prior to this match, the Japan National Team will play a training match against the Mali Under-3 National Team on 25 March in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, and these two matches will be the last training ground before the final qualifiers.
