Detailed race reports, results, and information on each team

《Men's Highlights》

The National High School Ekiden will be held at Takebishi Stadium Kyoto in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City, and 7 schools that have won the preliminary rounds in each prefecture will participate in the men's race, which is the same distance as the marathon with seven people. A record-breaking battle for the championship is expected centered on Kurashiki High School in Okayama, which won the tournament last year with a new record, and Sakuchosei High School in Nagano, who is aiming to win the championship for the third time in six years.

Kurashiki (Okayama) -
Kurashiki, who is aiming to win the title for the fourth time in two consecutive years, won last year with a new record of 47 hours, 6 minute and 3 seconds. Led by Samuel Kibati, who ran in the 2rd district and set a new section record, and Shunsuke Kuwata, who won the section prize in the 4th district, there are many strong athletes.

【Saku Nagasei (Nagano)】
Last year, Saku Nagasei broke the Japan high school record, which is a record for only Japan athletes not including international students, but lost to Kurashiki and finished in second place. Kotoshi has a wider roster of athletes, and has six runners in the 2-minute range, whose 1,10-meter times are among the best in high school, and has set the best times in the nation in the preliminaries. The team will be led by Soma Nagahara and Shuhei Yamaguchi, who finished second in each section in last year's race.

In addition, these two schools will be followed by Suma Gakuen (Hyogo), which has Sota Orita with a time of 3 minutes 4.2 seconds, which is the second-best time in high school history in the 5000,13 meters, and Rakunan High School (Kyoto). The men's race is getting faster every year, and it will be interesting to see if the team record and individual section record will be broken.
