Two teams that have not lost in the beginning of the season. But tonight, newcomer Frölunda's winning streak came to an end when league leader Luleå won 4-1.
But it was an injury early in the first period that the game came down to. Frölunda captain Hanna Olsson got a hard tackle from the side by Luleå's Petra Nieminen and was helped off the ice.
"No way to protect yourself"
The Finn escaped without any expulsion. Something that SVT Sport's expert thinks is wrong.
"The referees miss it, it's a quick situation. . It should be at least a two and even a five, if not more.
About the tackle itself, she says:
"It's not a super ugly tackle but it's not good, it comes at the moment of the shot, from the blindside and Hanna has no opportunity to protect herself and that should of course result in a penalty," says Rooth.
Hanna Olsson with two injuries in one week
Hanna Olsson, who has a history of injuries – and has been injured in the cruciate ligament before, suffered another injury exactly one week ago in the match against Leksand. Then she was led to the dressing room injured – but still managed to come back and score a hat-trick.
But in tonight's game, she never came back and the injury situation is still unclear.
What about the match?
Well, Luleå won it 4-1, which means that Frölunda suffered their first loss in a historic season in the SDHL.
