A DIFFERENT OPENING WEEKEND

When the women's basketball league kicks off on October 7, it will be done a little differently. There will be six games in two days and the entire first round will be played in Täljehallen in Södertälje.

It will be a basketball party where you hope for a big crowd, especially from young people. All girls' teams within the Stockholm Basketball Association are on match leave during the opening weekend – all in order to attract the next generation of league players as spectators.

HOW SBL WOMEN'S 2023/24 WILL BE PLAYED

The 12-team regular season is played in a straight series where all teams face each other home and away once.

The teams that finish the regular season in places 1-8 will play playoffs. Team 1 meets Team 8, Team 2 meets Team 7, and so on. The highest ranked team has home-field advantage in the various playoff stages.

Quarterfinals are played in best-of-three matches, best-of-five semifinals, and best-of-five finals finals.
