Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo (Saudi Al Nasr player) decided to sue his former team Juventus, because he did not receive his full dues during the period in which he defended the colors of the "old lady" team.

La Gazzetta dello Sport confirmed that Ronaldo is demanding 19.9 million euros, the value of his deferred salaries during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Italian newspaper explained that Ronaldo's lawyers requested documents proving this from the prosecutor's office in Turin, and after obtaining them they decided to take legal action against Juventus.

La Gazzetta dello Sport pointed out that Argentine Paulo Dybala, the former star of the team, who moved to Rome in the summer of 2022, did the same, and then reached an agreement with the "old lady" to obtain his delayed salaries of 3 million euros.

The five-time world player of the year is seeking to get his overdue dues, which he agreed to postpone in 5 and 2020 due to the financial crisis that hit Juventus during the pandemic.

The Italian league suspended the 2019-2020 season for more than 100 days due to Corona, specifically the period between March 9, 2020 and June 22 of the same year, and then it was decided to resume the "Calcio" behind closed doors, like all tournaments in Europe and the world, which caused a significant shortage of revenues due to the absence of fans.

Juventus found themselves forced to negotiate with the players to postpone their salaries, and did so for the first time collectively in 2020, and repeated it in 2021 but individually by talking to each player individually.

Ronaldo was receiving a net annual salary of 31 million euros from Juventus.

Ronaldo defended Juventus for three seasons between July 3 and August 2018, during which the "Madeira Rocket" played 2021 games in all competitions, scoring 134 goals and providing his teammates with 101 assists.

During that period, Ronaldo won the league twice, the Coppa Italia once and the Super Cup twice.

Ronaldo's decision comes days after a similar judicial move for former Juventus captain Leonardo Bonucci, who escalated the situation against the club, and filed a lawsuit against him because of the decision to terminate his contract one year before its end and unilaterally and without his consent, to find himself forced to leave for the ranks of Union Berlin in the last summer transfer market.
