In a difficult period, Neymar seems to have the blues.

The star player of the Brazilian Seleção even dropped a little bomb, believing that the next World Cup would be his last.

But on the side of Paris Saint-Germain, we want to relativize the statement of the playmaker, linked to the club until 2025.

A hasty end of career?

Neymar launched this weekend a warning tinged with SOS.

On the sidelines of Brazil's matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, the PSG striker made this confidence at the microphone of a Brazilian media.

"I think the 2022 World Cup will be my last, I don't know if I will have the mental strength to continue in football," said the 29-year-old.

Moral… and physical fatigue?

In a country where football is almost a religion, these comments have triggered a real media tornado. Neymar Jr., 30, is the star player of the Seleção, and all the pressure has been on those shoulders for 10 years. Only, he seems to take criticism more and more badly. Moral wear and tear which may be doubled by physical fatigue, advance Jimmy Algerino, former right-back defender at PSG and consultant for Europe 1. "For two years, he had serious injuries," he recalls. "And especially not to find the level which was his can lead to him weariness and this kind of questions." Not to mention that Neymar is the kind of player who needs to be loved.

On the side of Paris Saint-Germain, where the player is under contract until 2025, we want to be reassuring.

"The best way for Neymar to smile again is through games and victories," we believe.

In other words, the fall blues of the star playmaker of the capital could ultimately be just a little bit of temporary slack before the beautiful promises of spring.
