The British newspaper "The Sun" revealed the details of the horrific fall that Swiss skater Urs Krähenbühl suffered during his participation in the World Cup tournament currently being held in Austria, meters before passing the finish line.

The newspaper pointed out that the 26-year-old Swiss star, Urs, made a remarkable performance while crossing the legendary "Streef" route in Austria, and was close to crossing the finish line and leading the competitions, when he attempted in the last meters to jump over one of the heights included in the track at a speed of 140 Kilometers per hour, which led to him losing control while in the air, falling hard on the snowy track, and being seriously injured, which called for an immediate halt to the competitions, and the intervention of medical staff, before being transported by air to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to the newspaper, the horrific accident suffered by Austrian Krähenbühl was not the only one in the competitions, after he preceded him, and about 30 minutes before him, American skater Ryan Cochran collided with the side fence and suffered a severe shoulder injury.
