It was a shortened distance when La Diagonela started Ski Classics today.

The distance of six and a half miles became sixty miles due to avalanche risk.

But no matter what the distance was, it quickly looked to get its Swedish design in the ladies' race.

From the very beginning, the Swedes took the lead and when it was just over 40 km, Jenny Larsson had started to make a victory jerk.

The margin at the back to the rest of the group had been over a minute and the question was instead whether Lina Korsgren and Ida Dahl would be able to keep Norwegian Emilie Fleten behind them during the closing.

Big win for Jenny Larsson

The Swedes succeeded, but a sprint battle was required at the end.

In the end, it was Lina Korsgren who slipped in as second and Ida Dahl third just before Fleten who was only nine tenths behind.

Jenny Larsson took her first victory in Ski Classics and then it became a big one with over three minutes and 30 seconds before 2020 Vasaloppet winner Lina Korsgren.

The total time on the 60 km long distance was 3.19.21.

Big star Britta Johansson Norgren had a heavier day and came eight, almost ten minutes behind Jenny Larsson.

Swedish victory also on the men's side

On the men's side, it was also Swedish at the top.

Oskar Kardin did almost the same thing as Jenny Larsson, which turned out to be a winning concept.

After about 30 km, the Swede pulled on properly and gained over a minute in the lead, which would give a good margin of victory.
