It's been four days since Diego Maradona died.

According to the Télam news agency, investigations have now been started against the personal doctor of the Argentine football legend for "negligent homicide".

The doctor's office and the apartment of Leopoldo Luque were searched on Sunday, as pictures on Argentine television showed and judicial circles confirmed to Télam.

Decisive for the investigators, it is said, were testimony from Maradona's daughters Dalma, Gianinna and Jana.

Evidence is in progress

According to the information, they disagreed with the way Maradona was last treated in his residence.

"The investigation and the preservation of evidence are still in progress, with some testimony also being made by direct relatives," said the attorney general in San Isidro.

Luque initially did not want to speak to the AFP news agency about the allegations.

The sports world had remembered Maradona at the weekend with a few minutes of silence, a mourning band and sometimes touching gestures.

The tough guys from Argentina’s national rugby team, for example, had tears in their eyes.

In honor of the late Diego Maradona, Sam Cane, captain of New Zealand's famous "All Blacks", put a black jersey with the number 10 in the opponent's half of the field on Saturday before the traditional haka dance.
