Philipsen won the 15th stage of the Vuelta

Pascal Ackermann from the Bora-Hansgrohe team finished second, while Yannick Steimle from Deceuninck-QuickStep finished third (both from Germany).

Russian Alexander Vlasov from Astana finished 23rd.

The overall standings after the 15th stage are headed by the Slovenian Primož Roglich (Jumbo-Visma).

The second is Ecuadorian Richard Carapas (INEOS Grenadiers).

The third is British Hugh Carty (EF Pro Cycling).

Russian Alexander Vlasov is on the ninth line.

The next stage of the cycling race will take place on November 6.
