The XV of France faces Ireland on Saturday (9 p.m.), for the last match of the Six Nations Tournament which started last February.

A sort of final for the Blues who can win the competition.

But it won't be that simple.

After their great victory last week against Wales in a preparation match (36-21), the Blues must confirm against Ireland (21 hours).

When they tread the lawn of the Stade de France in the silence of the camera, they will have only one goal: to win and with a wide score.

A distant duel with the English

Because a simple victory will not be enough to win the Six Nations Tournament, which began last February and then paused because of the coronavirus pandemic.

To win their first Tournament since 2010, the Habs will have to do at least as well as the English who meet Italy (5.45 p.m.).

"The message to the players is simple: we are as lucky to win the Tournament as Ireland and England," said France XV manager Raphaël Ibanez.

On paper, it's true, but the XV de la Rose should largely win against Italy, a team still struggling in the Tournament, this is far from the case for the Irish.

A "final" ten years after the last victory in the Tournament

Despite everything, the Blues offer themselves a final against Ireland, ten years after the last French victory in the Tournament.

"Obviously, we all think about it in the back of our minds. But we keep our enthusiasm, our joie de vivre and we don't take the lead more than that", confides the back Thomas Ramos.

The Blues know it: they must not ignite after their great victory against the Welsh, at the risk of "quickly going down 15 floors", in the words of the opener Romain Ntamack.

How can the XV of France win the Tournament:

- France and England win in the same way (with or without offensive bonus) but the Blues have a margin to score at least three points higher than that of the English

- France and England win in the same way (with or without an offensive bonus) but the Blues have a margin on the score two points higher than that of the English, and England do not score four more tries than the Blues

- France beats Ireland with the bonus and England wins in Italy without the bonus

- France beats Ireland and England loses or draws against Italy
