Hazard finally scores to lead Real Madrid to a victory over Huesca

Eden Hazard scored his first goal for Real Madrid after fasting more than a year and Karim Benzema scored twice as the defending champion won 4-1 at home to Huesca in the Spanish Premier League on Saturday.

In his first appearance in the starting lineup after repeated injuries, Hazard opened the scoring in the 40th minute with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, only his second goal for the Spanish champions since his move from Chelsea in 2019.

Zinedine Zidane's side boosted their lead in stoppage time for the first half when Benzema controlled Lucas Vásquez's pass and fired the ball to hit the far post into the goal.

Federico Valverde made it 3-0 at the start of the second half before David Ferrero cut the visitors' lead.

Benzema concluded his impressive performance by scoring a header from close range in stoppage time as Real Madrid clinched their fifth win in seven league matches this season.
