Linköping HC is the club in the SHL that has so far been hit hardest by covid-19 in its men's team.

Earlier this week, the club announced that it is pausing all its operations after 24 covid cases were confirmed by people connected to the men's team.

Now Leksands IF is following the same path.

It was before Tuesday's match against HV71 that the Dala club confirmed that they had received their first covid case around the association's men's team.

One player had been infected and several had reported symptoms.

On Thursday night, Leksand would play a match away against Brynäs, a match that has been moved.

The Masers' match against Frölunda, which was to be played in Tegera Arena on Saturday, has also been moved.

"We adapt"

Now the club has decided to pause all its activities for a little over a week until 6 November.

- Now we have canceled since Wednesday.

We assume that the team will meet again next Friday because we need to have a certain preparation period for the match we then have on Tuesday.

We adapt to the prevailing situation, says the club's General Manager, Thomas Johansson, to Dalarnas Tidningar.

Leksand's next match that is currently scheduled to be played is against Färjestad on November 10.
