A rule change has opened up for Stina Nilsson to compete in the World Cup, despite the fact that she lacks biathlon merits after changing sports from cross-country skiing this year.

Stina Nilsson has previously doubted whether she is ready to compete directly in the premiere in Finland at the end of November.

Now she and Johannes Lukas confirm that it will be a while before the 27-year-old gets to test his wings on the big stage.

- There are good test competitions and the Swedish Cup.

This season is not a priority for her to go to the World Cup, the national team coach tells DN.

"It's not possible, no, no no"

- It's also about thinking a little smart.

Is it of any help to her to go directly to the World Cup?

This is a process.

Competition is a completely different thing than training.

Now she has trained for six months, then it is important that she gets several weeks and months of competition routine.

Then you can think further.

The national team is now at pre-season camp in Idre and it is the national competitions there, 14–15 November, which will be Stina Nilsson's first in her new sport.

She tells DN that the decision to compete in smaller competitions is first "super right".

- My first competition can not be a world cup.

Because I do not know how to do, it is not possible, no, no, no, Nilsson says with a laugh.
