Pernilla Lindberg seems to have something good going on in this week's LPGA Tour competition in Greensboro, Georgia.

Strengthened by the 18th place in the major PGA championships a couple of weeks ago, Lindberg has started with two nice rounds, 68 and 69 strokes respectively.

- I got a little clicked in the PGA Championships, especially in my long game that I worked on.

It is always difficult to maintain my form in golf, but I feel that I am close to where I want to be, Lindberg said at the press conference after the first round.

Divided five

The Reynolds Lake Oconee course is new to the women's players who are otherwise usually in Asia this year.

But there the competitions are canceled due to the corona pandemic.

- We are just happy to play, that they managed to get a competition here instead, Lindberg said.

With a total of seven strokes under par, Lindberg is split five and is three strokes behind leader Ally McDonald, USA.

Linnea Johansson is the second Swede to play further this weekend, after two rounds of 73 strokes each, which places her in a shared 63rd place, a total of two over par.

Woods far from the lead on the men's side

On the men's side, the American Justin Thomas is looking for his third PGA title this year and is currently leading the PGA Tour competition in Thousand Oaks, outside Los Angeles, after two rounds.

Seven birdies, all during the first twelve holes, were totaled during the bogey-free second round.

With a total of 14 under par, he has the lead with one stroke.

Tiger Woods came back after the weak 76 start, and improved the second day with a 66 round, although he is still far from the lead.

Alex Norén fell in the results list to a shared 22nd place from yesterday's ninth place, after going the second round on 68 strokes, four under par.
