When Liverpool played a derby against Everton a week ago, most people thought that Liverpool decided in the 92nd minute, when Jordan Henderson put what everyone thought was 3-2.

But after a VAR review, the case was ruled out for offside, despite the fact that few - even someone outside the VAR room - could understand that it was.

Tonight, when Liverpool played at home against Sheffield United, the team was again hit by the fact that the VAR decision did not go the team's way.

After eleven minutes of play, referee Mike Dean, after a brief VAR review, pointed to the penalty spot after Fabinho fouled Ollie McBurnie right on the penalty line, and not exactly behind as Liverpool supporters hoped and the referee first ruled.

Firmino returned

The Norwegian talent Sander Berge stepped forward and certainly put the ball in goal.

Liverpool were able to equalize just under half an hour later, when Roberto Firmino was able to take care of the return after Sadio Mané's nod and roll the ball into the open goal.

Jota nodded in 2-1

Just over a quarter into the second half, it was time again for the VAR room to judge against Liverpool.

this time after Mohamed Salah nicely received a long pass and fired a volley shot into goal, but the video review showed that he was just on the wrong side of the offside line.

But just a couple of minutes later Liverpool got to celebrate 2-1 for real when Mané found Diego Jota in the penalty area and he was able to nod in 2-1.

Sheffield United had a lot of ball during the last part of the match, but created few hot situations and Liverpool got all three points.
