Last month, the Swedish Public Health Agency reported several outbreaks of covid-19 in sports teams and in connection with competitions.

State epidemiologist Anders Tegnell gives his view on the case.

- It depends on different parts.

On the one hand, people in sports seem to be careful and generous in trying their hand when they get symptoms, and on the other hand, they hang out very close to each other in changing rooms and on replacement benches, he tells SVT Sport and continues:

- Maybe you should have thought a little more about how to keep your distance, and then I do not mean much on the track.

It is about before and after the match, in substitutes' booths and changing rooms, that you keep your distance in that type of situation and do not stay too close, especially indoors.

"Are there trends"

Tegnell further believes that it is not only in sports that the spread of infection has increased.

- There are tendencies that you get quite a large spread in these groups, but also in similar groups such as at student parties.

If you spend a lot of time together, you get an easy spread within a larger group, he tells SVT Sport.

Today came the news that the number of allowed spectators is increased from 50 to 300 and it refers to seated audiences.
