In the 13th minute, Örebro's Daniel Muzito Bagenda, 24, faced an ugly elbow tackle on the head of Rögle's Anton Bengtsson.

He got into the tackle far too late and thus received a match penalty.

Bengtsson had to break the match.

- It was the right assessment by the referee, Örebro coach Niklas Eriksson told C More.

Four reasons for the punishment

The so-called situation room chose to report the incident to the disciplinary committee, which on Sunday decided to suspend Muzito Bagenda for five matches.

In addition, he is forced to pay a fine of SEK 12,937.

As justification, the disciplinary committee lists four reasons.

  • It is a matter of an upward movement that hits in the head

  • The tackle is disrespectful

  • The tackled player is in a vulnerable situation

  • High risk of injury
