The Japan Championships on Athletics began on the 1st in Niigata City.
In the women's javelin throw, Yuka Sato won the championship by marking 59 meters and 32 centimeters.
Haruka Kitaguchi, who holds the Japanese record, missed the tournament consecutive championship in 2nd place, 59 meters and 30 centimeters, less than 2 centimeters.
In third place was Hyakunei Ueda, who was 58 meters and 25 centimeters.
