Moyes has tested positive for covid-19 and is in self-quarantine in his own home while the matches are going on as usual - without an audience.

Last week, the club won 5-1 over Hull in the League Cup and on Sunday, Wolverhampton were defeated 4-0 in the Premier League without Moyes physically in place.

But it is Moyes who leads the team: He takes out the squad and sends messages to his coaching colleagues on the spot who then convey the message to the players.

During the match against Wolves, assistant coach Stuart Pierce was constantly connected with Moyes.

- It was very clear instructions, says Alan Irvine who is also part of West Ham's management staff according to AP.

Moyes is fine and has no symptoms but must also stand over Wednesday's league cup match against Everton.

Moyes hopes to be back with the gang during Sunday's PL match in Leicester against the league leader.
