The NK time trial will not take place at the beginning of October.
The organization does not think it is justified to organize the event due to the new measures against the corona virus.
The National Time Trial Championships would be held in Emmen on October 7.
Due to the current situation surrounding the corona virus and the measures announced by Prime Minister Mark Rutte on Monday, it has been decided, in consultation with the Dutch cycling association, to end the tournament.
One of the measures taken by the cabinet is that for the next three weeks, no public is welcome at competitions in amateur and professional sports.
According to the organization, it is impossible to keep the public at the intended finish location and it is in any case not responsible to let participants travel to Emmen from all over the Netherlands.
The scrapping of the Dutch time trial championships means that Jos van Emden and Annemiek van Vleuten, last year's winners, can call themselves Dutch time trial champions for one year longer.
The NK road cycling could continue at the end of August in Wijster (Drenthe).
Mathieu van der Poel was crowned Dutch champion among men and Anna van der Breggen was the first to cross the line among women.
