Suarez's double leads Atlético to sweep Granada by six in the Spanish League

Atletico Madrid sent a strongly-worded message to its rivals in the Spanish Football League championship, and announced its intention to compete strongly for the title this season, after he started his journey in the new season of the competition with a big 6/1 victory over Granada on Sunday in the third stage of the tournament.

The rest of the stage matches that took place today resulted in Levante winning at Osasuna 3/1, and Athletic Bilbao at Eibar 2/1.

With this victory, Atletico got their first three points in their campaign in the competition this season, while Granada, who suffered their first loss in the championship this season, stuck at six points, after winning the first two stages over Bilbao and Alaves.

Atletico took the lead with an early goal of Diego Costa in the ninth minute, before teammate Saul Nigues missed a penalty in the 16th minute, and then Angel Correa added the second goal in the 47th minute.

And Atletico strengthened its progress, after Joao Felix and Marcos Llorente scored the third and fourth goals in the 65th and 72nd minutes, and then Uruguayan star Luis Swayes added the fifth goal in the 85th minute, in his first appearance with the Spanish capital team, who recently joined him after the end of his career with his former team Barcelona.

While Jorge Molina scored Granada's only goal in the 87th minute, Suarez scored again, scoring the sixth goal for Atletico and his second personal goal in the third minute of calculated time instead of lost for the second half.
