Citizen Mohammed Al Muhairi revealed that he had turned his home in Ajman into a museum to display rare international sports collections, which took more than 15 years to collect, before he decided to establish a sports museum that includes hundreds of medals, flags, logos, cups, signatures of players, magazines and numbers for international and local newspapers, some of which are gifts and the other has been Buy it, he said.

Al-Muhairi told Emirates Today: “The museum includes four local, Gulf and international pillars and personal possessions that I collected during my personal presence at some local and international events,” adding: “The museum is designed with a modern character according to various standards and simple designs despite the abundance of holdings in it, and it is witnessing development. Its construction was completed months ago, and work is underway to develop it, and collect many and varied collections from different parts of the world.

He continued: "The museum aims to present the old Emirati sports holdings in a modern way, and it will be available for those who wish to visit it soon."

Al Muhairi explained that "the museum contains rare and old slogans for Emirati clubs, medals and cups for tournaments dating back to the year 1973, and medals for the World Cup, the nations of Africa and the nations of Asia, and many other tournaments."

Regarding his beginnings in collecting rare collectibles, Al Muhairi said: “I started collecting collectibles 15 years ago, and the beginning was with simple things that I liked to collect, and I traveled with international teams in one plane, and I attended many European, Asian and Gulf championships since I was young, and I got tickets for old matches to commemorate it in The souls of sports fans ».

Al Muhairi said: “After collecting the collections that took a long time to collect, I prepared the museum inside my house, and collected the signatures of all the old players who played in the UAE national team in the World Cup championships because of its importance, as it is related to the history of Emirati and Gulf sports, and it bears features from the history of the homeland as well. I refuse to sell or forfeit it, despite the offers I got from several individuals and institutions. ”

He added, "Throughout the past period, I have been keen on visiting some Arab and Gulf countries, and communicating with clubs and players to obtain some sporting collectibles that enrich the museum," noting that "many players, whether inside or outside the UAE, responded to me, and gave me rare collections to enrich My museum, as it is considered a new idea, and I have sought help from my friends to obtain some rare collectibles, and they assisted me in their knowledge of my passion in collecting ancient and heritage sports objects, especially those related to the Emirates. ”
