The Dubai World Trade Center, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, announced today that the activities of the "Dubai Sports World" will continue this year for an additional two months, to end on November 29, due to the increasing demand to reserve halls to practice sports in stadiums continuously.

This was stated in a press release yesterday.

The statement reads: “The Dubai World Trade Center has transformed its halls into sports fields open for all sports fans to enjoy playing, training and competing with each other in air-conditioned, safe and comfortable halls. And residents to continue to lead an active lifestyle, and in line with the strict health and safety rules and guidelines of the Dubai government, the Dubai Sports World has successfully implemented health and safety protocols to ensure the safety of players, visitors and society at large.

Dubai Sports Council Secretary General Saeed Hareb said: “The Corona pandemic has, since its inception, disrupted many aspects of daily life, including sports and physical activity. Providing sufficient space in line with the application of social distancing requirements.

He added, "The Dubai World Trade Center supports the comprehensive vision of Dubai to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, and we are pleased to extend this session of (Dubai Sports World), which plays an important role in promoting physical and mental health for all."

The statement said: “This summer (Dubai Sports World) witnessed the participation of sports fans of different ages and nationalities, and the academies provided training camps in many sports, including football, basketball, cricket, badminton, tennis, volleyball, paddle tennis, and table tennis. The current tournament was attended by a group of sports celebrities to the stadiums of Dubai Sports World this year, including former Italy and Inter Milan goalkeeper Walter Zinga, Brazilian futsal legend Falcao, and Lebanese basketball legend Fadi Al-Khatib.

Maher Julfar, Executive Vice President of Exhibition and Conference Halls Department at Dubai World Trade Center, said: “Dubai Sports World has succeeded in bringing together all sports fans, and we are proud of the role we play in promoting a healthy lifestyle among citizens and residents alike.”
