Since December and the formalization of the takeover of the American franchise from Reign FC, near Seattle, OL has become a “

sister club

 ”.

A formula used in the press release published Wednesday by the now OL Reign, to announce the loan to Lyon until next June of the defender Celia Jiménez Delgado.

The benefits of such an investment by OL Groupe are also there, namely to try to compensate for the problematic departure this summer of the English side Lucy Bronze (Manchester City), via the pool of players from its subsidiary across the Atlantic.

Return to the USA in 2021

Aged 25, the Spanish international (23 selections), who participated in the last two editions of the Women's World Cup, thus arrives "within the framework of the existing cooperation links between OL and the American franchise in Seattle" , as clarified by OL.

Celia Jiménez Delgado was particularly distinguished on July 6 by scoring by far the only goal of a victory for her team against Portland (1-0, see at 1'55 '' on the video below).

“I appreciate that Reign [where she has been playing since 2018] made this opportunity possible with OL, reacted the Spanish side.

This new experience will allow me to learn and grow as a player, before returning to my American club in 2021. ”Unless JMA and OL change this career plan in a few months.
