Portuguese Pacheco, coach of Zamalek club

Chairman of the Egyptian club Zamalek Mortada Mansour announced the appointment of the Portuguese Jimmy Pacheco as technical director of the club's first football team, succeeding French Patrice Carteron.

Mansour said in statements on the Zamalek channel evening that the formed committee chose dozens of CVs to choose the new coach.

He added that the Swiss Christine Gross requested a contract for a period of two months only, and that the club refused to do so, and that Portuguese Gosfaldo Ferreira asked to come from the beginning of next season, but his team "does not have the luxury to wait."

He explained that Pacheco, the former coach of the team, was chosen as the new coach of the White Castle.

Carteron had unilaterally terminated his contract with Zamalek and left to lead the Saudi cooperation.

Pacheco coached Zamalek before 2014.
