Bayern Munich completes the quartet with the European Super Cup at the expense of Seville

Bayern Munich beat Sevilla 2-1 after extra time, on Thursday, to win the European Super Cup and complete the fourth under coach Hans Flick in the first European match held with the presence of some fans since the matches resumed amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Substitute Xabi Martinez scored the winning goal with a header in the 104th minute, after the European champions Sevilla took the lead in the 13th minute from a penalty kick by Lucas Ocampos, but Bayern Munich equalized by Leon Goritska in the 34th minute.

The Bavarian club, which has not lost 32 games in a row and won the domestic double and the Champions League, missed many dangerous opportunities.

And goalkeeper Manuel Neuer kept his team in the match when he deflected two attempts by Moroccan Youssef Al-Nusiri in a wonderful way before Martinez took advantage of a large space to follow a rebound with his head in the net.

About 15,000 spectators attended the stands of the Puskas Arena in Budapest, where the match was seen as an experiment for the gradual return of fans to European matches.
