The 31-year-old Olympique Lyonnais striker seized the record for goals for the France team, erasing the previous mark held by Marinette Pichon since 2006.

In Skopje, the OL player scored on a direct free kick (14th) then on a penalty (18th) on the evening of her 172nd selection, bringing her total of goals in the French jersey to 82.

She had scored her first international goal on March 5, 2009 against Scotland in a friendly tournament in Cyprus, from her second selection under the tricolor tunic.

Behind Le Sommer and Pichon, the former striker Marie-Laure Délie (65 goals) completes the podium of the best French scorers in history.
