The investigation was opened after the discovery of "numerous medical devices, including drugs and a method that can be classified as doping".
The French press reported the searches in the room of one of the Quintana hotels and of two other Colombian Arkea cyclists who were also participating in the Tour.
According to some media, the registration took place on Wednesday morning at a hotel in Megève, a well-known ski resort in the Alps near Meribel, the finish line and start of the 17th and 18th stages.
